John Pray will be in attendance at the Wood County Museum on May 22 and 23, 2021. He was one of the first board of commissioners of Wood County. Mr. Pray moved to the Black Swamp in June 1818, and settled in what would become Waterville, then a part of Wood County where he lived until his death on October 18, 1872. He was a County Commissioner for 12 years from the organization of the county and Justice of the Peace for nine years. Lucas County wasn’t formed until 1835.
