The Waterville Historical Society collects, preserves, provides access to, interprets and fosters an appreciation of history that has an impact on the Waterville, Ohio and surrounding area.

Volunteering your time can help us make history come alive in the community!

  • Roche de Boeuf – a one-day commitment: 4th Saturday of September; Need volunteers for various areas and open houses on campus; setup, cleanup, museum docents, crafts, etc.

  • Annual Christmas Dinner planning/assistance

  • Docent participation (3rd grade visits, Roche de Boeuf)

  • Fallen Timbers Battle 230th Anniversary August 23-25 Parker Square (assorted volunteer opportunities

  • Fallen Timbers Museum/Displays, Wakeman Hall, Opening TBA (help with setup, ticket sale, greeters, etc.)

  • Ghostly Encounters, Wakeman Cemetery (setup, teardown, ticket sales, etc.)

  • Help with preparing Wakeman Bldg. and campus museums for programs, e.g. classes, monthly programs, tours—light cleaning involved

  • Haunted Waterville (registering guests, helping setup or take down, selling T-shirts, greeting guests/introducing presenters, etc.) See website for dates/times.
