Waterville's Holiday Happening

Come and check out all of the festivities starting at 8-11 a.m. Be at Shawn’s and have Breakfast with Santa. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. George Carruth will be signing his artwork at Carruth Studios. There will be a Scavenger Hunt throughout the town from 4-5:30  p.m. (you can pick up clues at Clayful Art) and from 4-6 p.m. Clayful Art will have a free craft. Stop by Dale’s Diner from 4-7 p.m. to have some hot chocolate and get a picture with Santa. You can also stop by the Municipal Building for some hot chocolate provided by Vison Ministries and cookies provided by the City Council. 

The Waterville Historical Society will be hosting fireside chats.  Get warm by the bon fires and hear stories through the ages by costumed story tellers. Jim Conrad will be portraying Thomas Pray, son of John and Lucy, and will relate tales of early decorations in Waterville emphasizing Christmas celebration in the 1890s. Third Street Blooms will have a “Letter to Santa” station. From 4-7 pm the non-profit group HOOVES will have tractor ride’s through town (remember non-profits love tips). The Zion Lutheran Church children’s’ choir and bell ringing group will be singing at the Tree Lighting at 6 pm on Third Street. Come and spend the day in Waterville supporting the local businesses.
